Whereas the reality of climate change is becoming more and more tangible, and climatologists are no longer in any doubt about human responsibility, climate sceptics pounce on the slightest imprecise formulation or apparent contradiction and continue to circulate erroneous information, relayed over and over again on social networks.
A major player in climate research in France, the CNRS considers that combating this misinformation is one of its missions. It has chosen to work with blogger BonPote and graphic artist Claire Marc to produce this comic strip, which provides a simple approach to concepts that are usually difficult to understand.
Beneath the apparent simplicity of the graphics, this book covers fundamental issues, and gives an account of what we really know about climate change, as well as the way in which this knowledge is constructed. That is the strength of this book..
